Read-A-Thon Initiative
Autonomous Read-A-Thon initiative is a strategic way of promoting reading and learning in the various schools across the country which includes fun activities related to reading, such as book clubs, scavenger hunts, open book tests, reading challenges, spelling, and quizzes.
These activities are wonderful ways for students to remember and enjoy read-a-thons. We have started forming Read-A-Thon Clubs in the various Basic & Senior High Schools across the country.
The challenge is between inter-classes, inter-house, and inter-school competitions across the country. These challenges and the competitions will be broadcast by our media partners and will be shown on our social media platforms.
The foundation is focused on identifying and implementing initiatives that support the Ghanaian education system to improve the quality of education in recent times.

Through the Autonomous Read-A-Thon initiative, individuals gain exposure to various perspectives, facts, and ideas, forming the foundation for further learning and understanding. It involves not only acquiring information but also personalizing and applying it.
Autonomous read-a-thon enhances cognitive abilities by promoting analytical thinking and expanding vocabulary. It also has emotional advantages, such as developing empathy and reducing stress levels. Moreover, it fosters social skills by improving communication, empathy, and appreciation for diverse cultures.
Importance Of Autonomous Read-A-Thon
We encourage more pupils to participate in the program, by rewarding them with prizes like certificates, books, mathematical sets, cash, medals, etc.
Read-a-thons enable children to develop a love of reading and discover new books and authors. They also allow students to compete for entertaining prizes while collecting funds for their school.
Read-a-thon is a fabulous way to build literacy and bring the youth back to reading. It’s a great program that helps schools raise money for books, technology, and necessary equipment. And along the way, they promote a healthy hobby among students that parents also appreciate.
Besides that, Autonomous-Read-A-Thon is a fantastic way to help students reduce screen time, transport them to faraway galaxies, and make them learn a million new things in a highly captivating manner.
